For Sunday April 28, 2024
Fairly New to St. Paul?
Or perhaps been here awhile but want to know more?
You’re invited to a Newcomers’ Class on Sunday, April 28th at 9AM between services in the library. This is a chance to get to know a bit more about this wonderful church, learn about what it means to become a member, and ask all the questions you’ve ever dreamed of.

Spiritual Formation Feedback Questionnaire
At St. Paul’s, we are blessed with an abundance of retired/active priests, ministers, and educators who offer wonderful classes and retreats throughout the year! We are planning for our education/spiritual formation programing for the 2024-2025 year. Your answers to this questionnaire will help us find out what parishioners want and need. It should only take a few minutes of your time. Thank you for completing it!
Like to sing and want to do so a few times before “summer break”?
We plan on having the choir sing on Pentecost (May 19) and on the Bishop’s Visit (June 2). Rehearsals will continue as usual, Thursdays 5:45 PM and Sundays after the 10:30 postlude, through the first week in June. If you know of congregation members or friends of St. Paul who live full time in Palm Springs and might be interested in singing with us, please invite them. Any questions? Please reach out to musicdirector@stpaulsps.org

Discovering Stories Together: Parish Life Book Club
Welcome to Parish Life Book Club, where every page turned is an adventure and every discussion a journey into fiction. Join us on the first Tuesday of each month at 2 PM, ready to dive into our latest book.
Diverse Choices, Diverse Voices: Our book club is all about exploring rich storytelling and compelling characters. Our 75th selection is James by Percival Everett, a re-imagining Huck Finn’s tale from the perspective of the slave Jim, to other hidden gems and beloved classics, our selections span genres, and perspectives. Together, we choose our next read by consensus, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
Uncovering Hidden Gems: One of the best parts of our club? Discovering books, you might not have found on your own. Whether it’s a lesser-known novel or a classic, each month brings surprises and discussions that spark curiosity and connection.
Lively, Polite Discussions: Our meetings, typically lasting about an hour, are filled with warmth and respect. We dive into characters, themes, and everything in between, all while enjoying the diverse perspectives of our members. It’s a space where different impressions of the same words enrich our understanding and appreciation of each book.
Zooming into Summer: As the weather warms up, we’re transitioning to Zoom meetings, ensuring that even our traveling members can stay connected. Whether you’re a snowbird or an adventurer, you’re always welcome to join us from wherever you are.
A Welcoming Community: Parish Life Book Club is more than just a reading group; it’s a community of dedicated readers and newcomers alike. We value our long-time members and embrace the fresh perspectives that new faces bring, creating an inclusive space for all.
Join Us on the Journey: Whether you’re a seasoned reader or curious about book clubs, there’s a place for you at Parish Life Book Club. Come share your love of literature, make new friends, and embark on an adventure through the pages of our next read. We can’t wait to meet you!
